RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Pullers under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian to sign a waiver.
2. All pullers must wear shoes, shirt, long pants and a D.O.T. approved helmet.
3. Pullers and track personnel only, are allowed in the pulling area.
4. Pullers and authorized track personnel only, are allowed on the track.
5. Whenever the sled is pulled back to the starting line, the next driver has two minutes to hook up and start his pull, after the sled is set.
6. The number one puller in each class will be the test puller and may take the pull if working condition of the sled is satisfactory, as determined by the track judges. He may then have the option to take the second pull in the third position and forfeit the first pull distance. If the sled needs adjustment, the first puller after each adjustment will pull as the first puller of the class. All decisions MUST be made BEFORE the puller is unhooked from the sled. On any re-pulls caused by equipment malfunction, the puller will immediately rehook. If the number one puller is disqualified on his test pull, he is still able to take a second pull, in the third position.
7. Once a puller drops out of the class, he may not re-enter the class.
8. Each tractor can pull once in an event.
9. If the tractor touches the lines or the sled hits the markers, the driver will be disqualified.
10. Pullers may stop before the 25 foot marker and repull as long as they did not cross the side lines. Each puller will be given two attempts to start the sled within 25ft.
11. All tractors will be weighed and hitch height checked with the driver sitting on the seat with his/her helmet.
12. Front weight bar measured from center of rear axle forward may not exceed 84 inches. Rear weight bar and weights measures from the center of the rear axle backward, may not exceed 18 inches. Tractor width including weights and bars may not exceed 4 feet, and must fit on the scales. All weights and bars must clear the scales to avoid damaging the equipment. If the tractor fails to clear the scales (the weight bar or weights hit), you will be disqualified for the day, or until the problem is rectified.
13. Weights may be moved from one place to another after weigh-in, as long as no more weight is added. Tractors will be confined to a line-up area after crossing the scales. Any tractor leaving this area will be disqualified.
14. All weights must be safely secured to the tractor. No weights are permitted on the seat or the deck and cannot be higher than the seat. Anything lost during the pull is cause for disqualification. IF the front tires of the tractor are in the air when the flagman flags the tractor indicating the pull is over, and contact with the ground causes an object to be lost, the puller will not be disqualified.
15. All tractors must report to the scale area to see if they must be weighed out. Winning tractors will be weighed, tacked and hitch checked immediately following their pull. (This rule may not always be in effect, but can be put into effect without notice.) The track official’s tack will be the official tack for determining RPM’s.
16. All pullers must start with a tight hitch. All tractors must have a stationary minimum 1 1/2 inch horizontal “D” ring or a horizontal hitch approved by the track official. No portion of the tractor may interfere with the weight transfer machine, chain, or hook during the pull or while being hooked or unhooked.
17. Any tractors may shift gears without stopping during the pull.
18. No adjustments can be made as the tractor is pulling down the track.
19. All tractors must have a tractor type seat with a back or aluminum with a 3 inch back, and the seat must stay in position during the pull. The driver MUST REMAIN IN THE SEAT, but not on the seat back, with one hand full grasp (no finger-tipping) on the wheel at all times. Both feet must remain straddled on the tractor or driver will be disqualified.
20. Tractor pullers must keep their machines under control at all times on and off the track as determined by the track judges. No excessive speed will be tolerated on the grounds of the pull. There will be only one warning; the second time you will be asked to load up and leave and your entry fee will not be refunded.
21. All tractors must have a hood, grill, seat and fenders suitable for protecting the driver. All pulleys and belts must be covered, except the starter generator belt. If the tractor is not equipped with the factory side shields, then you must have an 1/8 inch solid shield or 3/16 inch aluminum shield secured on opposite sides of the cam to the top of the block on modified and stock altered tractors.
22. All tractors must have working brakes and working reverse. Stock altered tractors may choose not to have reverse, but they must unhook themselves.
23. Only four cycle tractors are permitted.
24. Exhaust may be altered to straight pipe, but must discharge vertically, at 90 degrees upward.
25. No dual wheels, tire chains, studded, ATV tires, mini sprint tires, or 4x4 tractors.
26. Pump gas only. Must meet .750 specific gravity. NO ALCOHOL FUELS. No electric fuel pumps except in stock altered class. No pressure tanks. No additives.
27. All tractors must have stock ignition.
28. Wheelie bars are required for your safety. Wheels must be 1 1/2 inches wide, minimum. Pads must be in a fixed position and 1 1/2 inches wide minimum with a 3 square inch coverage minimum. Wheels or pads measured from the trailing edge of the tire to the front edge of the wheel or pad must be 5 inches and no higher than 5 inches from the ground. Stock, modified and stock altered class tractors must have a kill switch and it must be in operation and easily accessible.
29. FIGHTING BETWEEN PULLERS WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION OF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. COMPLAINTS WILL BE HEARD AND RULED ON IN A REASONABLE MANNER. Any and all protests made to a rule violation by an individual (plaintiff) must be accompanied by a $100.00 fee which will be refunded to the plaintiff if the other person (defendant) is found to be in violation of any rule. If there is no violation of the rule, the money will be given to the defendant.
30. If the track official senses a violation of failure to comply with these rules, he may, without the posting of $100.00, request that the tractor in question prove compliance to the rules. This may happen at any time.
31. Internal mechanical violations will be the owner or operator’s responsibility to tear down the tractor at the request of Dick Reinwald. Owner or operator can take the option of having a designated person, authorized by Dick Reinwald, to do the tear down. The violation will have to be corrected and have authorized approval of Dick Reinwald, before the tractor is allowed to pull again.
32. No drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of illegal drugs will be permitted on the grounds of an event, and no intoxicated or drug impaired driver will be permitted to pull.
33. Drivers may not smoke cigarettes, cigars or pipes while hooked to the weight machine.
34. Registration closes 15 minutes before the pull is scheduled to begin. Drivers must arrive early, pick their classes and register. No changing of classes will be permitted once the pull begins. Refunds for scratched classes will be authorized by Dick Reinwald only.
35. Any driver who wants to know a distance from a previous class can check the sheets at the registration table. To obtain information (other than distances) for a current class, see the line-up person. Under no circumstances are any drivers, their family members or spectators permitted to approach the announcer to visit, obtain information, or place a complaint. Problems are to be directed to Dick Reinwald immediately.
