- Breeding Sheep |
NOTICE: All entries close August 19. Arrange for entries
by this date so space can be reserved. Limit 1 market lamb per exhibitor.
Market lamb must weigh minimum of 85 lbs.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

| 1. |
All sheep exhibited must be
accompanied by an official certificate of health signed by a licensed
veterinarian indicating they have inspected the flock of which the animals
are a part and found them free from scabies and other transmissible
diseases. |
| 2. |
No entries will be accepted
before the first Monday in August. |
| 3. |
All entries must be mailed with
a check made payable to The Waterford Fair Association, $1.00 per animal
to:

No phone nor hand delivered entries will be accepted.
Entries mailed without the entry fee will be returned. |

Any entry received after space
has been filled will be opened, noted and returned. If space becomes
available, you will be notified. |
| 5. |
All animals must meet the health
requirements described in the health
certification of the fair book. All animals with the exceptions of
market animals must have breed registration papers. |
| 6. |
All animals must be entered in
accordance with Fair regulations by 9:00pm Monday. |
| 7. |
Exhibitors must inform
themselves as to when their animals will be judged. Judging is scheduled
for Tuesday afternoon. |
| 8. |
Exhibitors must display their
animals in the space assigned to them. |
| 9. |
No animals can be removed before
8:00pm on Saturday. Animals must be removed early Sunday to allow for
clean up. |
Market Sheep will be divided into nearly equal class or
sub-class by the Department Chairs and their representatives at their
discretion. There will be a maximum of nine classes/sub-classes with a
minimum of four animals per class/sub-class.
